HOUSING INFORMATION

ASILOMAR 2007
Complete information is provided.
Links are active.

Please read the following information carefully. The procedure this year has changed. Space is assigned on an order-received basis; there is no lottery.

One thing that makes the Asilomar Mathematics Conference such a great experience is staying on the beautiful grounds. Attendees are able to share family-style meals with teachers from kindergarten through college. At the same table there could be teachers from throughout the state and country, administrators, and people from the state department of education. To insure the most space for participants only those registered for the conference may stay on grounds. We urge you to send in your registration form as early in September as possible.

ON-GROUNDS HOUSING  IS offered as part of a full conference package only. YOU WILL be put on waiting list for on-grounds housing.
To apply for on-grounds housing (the wait list) complete Step 6 on the registration form; include the names of all those requesting to room together. Complete a separate registration form for each person in the group but mail them all together in one envelope. Each person’s total must be calculated separately, but one payment for the group is acceptable. Form(s) must be received by October 4th. Accommodations are for either two or four persons per room. Individuals who list no preference will be assigned roommates; no single or triple accommodations are available.  NEW THIS YEAR: The $400 per person package price includes registration for the full conference,  lodging for three nights and nine meals (Thursday dinner to Sunday lunch). (Note that last year the 3 nights lodging and meals together with registration for all events cost $540.)

For on-grounds housing  complete step 6 on the registration form; include the names of all those requesting to room together. List each person’s total separately, but one payment for the group is acceptable.

NOTE:
  • Be sure to indicate your special access and dietary needs in step 2 of the pre-reg form if applicable.
  • All rooms are non-smoking.
  • Rates are based on double or quad occupancy. NO single or triple rooms are available. You will be assigned a roommate if you do not request one (be sure to note your gender).
  • On-grounds housing confirmation is emailed by Oct 28. Please supply a working email for at least one of your roommates.
  • Contact us at cmc-math@sbcglobal.net if you have not heard by November 1.
  • Registration forms for all those requesting to share a room must be mailed together in ONE envelope.

Your cost: Lodging plus dinner, breakfast, and lunch plus registration is $400 per person total for 3 nights, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This is after the $15 early-reg discount is applied. Past-Presidents, CMC section officers and a few others must pay for their housing, but it is guaranteed until October 4 and only until October 4!  Those with guaranteed housing may request at most one roommate who, in accordance with the above rules, must be registered for the conference and must pay for their lodging.

OFF-GROUNDS HOUSING: Because Asilomar housing is very limited, we have made arrangements through the firm Resort 2 Me to reserve a large number of rooms in the area at special conference rates. In an effort to accommodate different preferences as well as budgets, numerous types of facilities such as motels, inns, bed-and-breakfast inns, and full-service hotels are offered. For reservations and information contact: Resort 2 Me, 800-449-1499 (8am - 6 pm; weekends 11 to 5), or visit them at http://www.resort2me.com/cmc.
