LESSON STUDY STRAND
Saturday Pacific Grove High School 8:30-10:00 567 LEVEL: Admin/Teacher Leader TYPE: INT VIDEO IPODS TO STUDY STUDENT INTERVIEWS FOR MATH AND LANGUAGE Joan Easterday, Mathematics Project Manager, Sonoma COE; & David Chosa, Teacher/Mentor, Kawana, Bellevue SD Student
interviews have become an integral part of our work. By video taping
the interviews and posting on iTunes we can download for group
analysis. Lesson study groups have studied their interviews for naïve
mathematical thinking, language demands, and the levels of questions
being asked. The analysis of the interviews has then been used to
thoughtfully plan their lesson study.
