The California Mathematics Council is supporting an annual scholarship honoring the memory of Lurie Center who dedicated her career as a teacher to improving the mathematical literacy of students. This award will enable three teachers of color (one from each CMC section) to attend the annual CMC Conference within their section. This Lurie Center Scholarship will cover for each teacher up to $500 in conference expenses such as room, board, travel, and instructional materials (with no more than $100 of the award to be used for instructional materials). Each awardee will also receive complimentary conference registration and a one year subscription to the ComMuniCator with CMC membership.
