The mathematical and artistic brilliance of John Martin of Santa Rosa Jr. College's Mathematics Department in designing this year's conference logo is gratefully acknowledged. Another recent Math Conference design, Mathematics is Golden, was featured in the front section of the 8/25/08 San Francisco Chronicle on a T-shirt worn by Stanford mathematician, NPR's resident mathematician, and frequent Asilomar presenter, Dr. Keith Devlin.
A version of this logo will be available on T-shirts and other items for sale at the conference.
Membership
If you register for the Asilomar conference, you will automatically become a CMC member. If you can't come to Asilomar this year, you and your colleagues can still join CMC. Members receive all CMC publications and information about CMC activities. It's professional -- and more fun -- to be involved!
Lodging On-grounds housing and meals is an excellent choice while space is available. Space is very limited so register early for this option.
A block of rooms at reduced rates has been set aside for off-grounds housing. Contact Resort2Me at 831-642-6622. |
