This is to be awarded annually to a mentor/mentee team: a K-8 classroom teacher in his/her first five years of service and to the mentor of said teacher.
Lurie Center Elementary Teaching Award
This is open to all teachers who work with students of color and differs from The Lurie Center Scholarship, a state-wide award with different eligibility criteria, although both can be used to send a teacher to the annual November Palm Springs Mathematics Conference of CMC-South.
CMC-S Math Festival Grant
In addition to the CMC state sponsored Festival Grant, to help defray the costs of hosting Mathematics Festival Programs, CMC-South is offering to K-8 schools serving low-income students in southern California an opportunity to apply for financial support.
